Fore River

Life's been a little hectic recently, so I took a day off from scuba to enjoy one of my other hobbies. The Fore River is less of a river, and more of a brackish body between the Monatiquot (an actual river) and Hingham Bay. Paddling up the estuary system, you can see fiddler crabs and mussels. Out on the flat, opposite the power plant, you'll see clams, snails, hermit crabs, and small shad. Overhead are the usual compliment of sea birds, plus herons, hawks and cormorants. The Fore isn't a great fishing spot, but it's pretty good for paddling around and watching the boats go by.
